Shagrinak must've not have been thinking right...saving one he knew hated him?
'It is a guild mate though', he kept thinking, 'he is in danger, and I must save him.' He rode as fast as his Black War Raptor could run. The Hinterland's coast was so beautiful, yet distracting so he hurried past it. Up the narrow pass through the mountains he went, thinking of a plan to save Eonthane. 'I suppose, I could go mad and fire Shadowbolts at anything I see....' He thought aloud. He was nearly to the Troll ruins, and his Raptor grew weary of running. Shagrinak sighed, and let his raptor return the the camp nearby. 'Be safe.' He said to his precious pet. He turned around and saw the ancient ruins, swarming with Trolls. Shagrinak smiled, he liked when the odds were against him. He quickly summoned a Felguard, by the name of Flaatom, and began his assault. A few scouts had seen him approach and began shouting and throwing spears at him. He fired a Shadwobolt at one, he went down. And the next one he enjoyed killing....He made him run around in circles on fire!
As he progressed, he noticed a small pisece of cloth from an elegeant robe on the ground. It must be Eonthane's, he thought. Up ahead, trolls were performing a strange ritual by a carved stone. Shagrinak smiled darkly. He raised his hand high into the air, Flaatom charged, for he knew this plan all too well. Shagrinak focuse all of his power into hailing fire onto the trolls, while Flaatom beheaded their charred necks. 'Eesa tol.' he said to Flaatom. 'Eesa tol" is good job in Demonic, as you should all know. Shagrinak climbed a small hill with Flaatom on his side. Just past the hill, he saw a cave with a few heavily armored Trolls guarding it. Once more, he smiled. One of the trolls came up and hit him in the side wth a jagged spear. He kneeled down, pulsing with pain. Flaatom came up and sliced the trolls arm off, and threw the troll into the cave. The second, Shagrinak simply threw a Shadowbolt at it. Mant trolls in the cave were outraged at this, and charged out.
Shagrinak impaled an oncoming troll with his staff. The troll opened its mouth, blood splurting out freely, he grabbed the staff, in an attempt to take it out. shagrinak scowled, and kicked the bodt off of the end of his staff. Flaatom cleaved the two other trolls, one successfully hitting him with a fireball. Shagrinak entered the lare mouth of the cave, expecting anything, but nothing was there. He moved down a long passage way. He saw a bright light at the end of this tunnel, wondering what it was, he ventured onward to the room.
The bright light, coming out from a hole in the ceiling, was shining down revealing Eonthane on a stone altar. What strange rituals had they done to him, he thought. He trudged through the small pond ahead of him and observed the body. It had many dark bruises, and bleeding wounds, but Eonthane was no doubt alive.
He told Flaatom to keep watch for more trolls, andbegain a ritual to bring Enthan'es soul back into conciousness. He sat down, and chanted a verse in Demonic over and over again. After about an hour, Eonthane stirred.
'Uhn....Where am I?'
Shagrinak stood up. 'You are in the Troll cave, I have come to rescue you.'
Eonthane rose from the altar,' Wha-where are my clothes?' He ccovered up his exposed areas. 'Do not look at me!'
Shagrinak blinked.'Okay, okay! There are your clothes!' He ponted to a mound of wet cloth in the corner of the room.'Oh,' Eonthane breathed. He put his robes back on, and looked at Shagrinak for a moment.' Than you, Shagrinak. You have suprised me this day.'
Shagrinak looked puzzled.'How so?'
'You saved my life, I owe you a great debt for that.' Eonthane paused.'Do not get used to it...'
Shagrinak smiled and replied 'Never.'
Eonthane sighed and took a look around.
'So, how about we get out of this hell of a cave?'
Shagrinak nodded 'Of course, this place smells of troll blood, very thickly.' He glanced down at his staff, still bloody. 'Let us leave.....'
